Network marketers who actually take action have experience success, and they are in the industry’s average of 1 in 50. The people who get into action are getting results, and their success becomes its own motivation.

At first it is hard to get the ball rolling to get momentum. You get motivated by the success you experience. When you break your momentum it is difficult to get things going again. Enthusiasm is not the only thing that will keep you going. When you lose your enthusiasm, when your attitude level drops, when obstacles come into your life that is the time when you need to demonstrate your sustainable motivation.

Most of the time, people think if they go out and act enthusiastic everything else will fall into place. You need to know that enthusiasm is not a long-term motivator. Most people drop the ball, and they don’t work consistently when they are going through challenges. In order to survive the setbacks in life, you have to develop an optimistic attitude and develop a sustainable motivation.

All the motivational books and speeches from your upline are external motivation. They will equip you for success and will help you develop a sustainable motivation. You have to focus on that internal drive or internal motivator which you must consistently cultivate. Your sustainable motivation is your internal unrelenting drive to overcome your obstacles with positive outcomes. Only you can provide this internal drive or sustainable motivation.

You must spend about 30 minutes every day reading something uplifting and positive. You have to learn something new everyday that will move you forward. Overtime you will develop that sustainable motivation. The internal motivation is within you.

When you face challenges and obstacles it will pop-up and will move your business forward. It does not mean that you will not get derail at times. With sustainable motivation it will help you to stay focus. It will help you to say this is what I must do even though I’m facing challenges that are difficult. I will make it through and achieve the things I want.

Sustainable motivation is not just having an affirmation and telling yourself good things will happen. It is getting into action and turning your dreams into reality. A lot of people think they need to be motivated first before they take action. You first have to get yourself started into action and consistently build momentum.

You have to take action consistently to develop your state of mind and sustainable motivation which will further help you to build your drive and passion. No body can tell you that you have sustainable motivation. One day you will realize you have it. When you face a huge challenge you will realize that you always had sustainable motivation.

Do you want to be the one to succeed in network marketing? Do you want to be the one to beat the odds? You can do it. Most of the people in the high 90% who want to build the business and are willing to take action are successful. Here is the key to your success. You have to tell yourself – “I can’t give up when things get tough.”

You can’t give up when obstacles come in your way, because obstacles and setbacks will show up to test your stamina and determination. One of the best way to make sure you are not going to give up is to be motivated by what you are doing. You have to consistently focus on prospecting and finding quality business partners whose time and effort you can leverage off in a win-win strategy to build the business.

It is not picking up the phone and doing the typical show and tell. It is using effective marketing strategies. This marketing strategy is based on the concept of sharing your favorite coffee with your friends. You are telling them how wonderful and tasty it is, and then you let them decide for themselves if they want it or not. It is a natural approach. If you are motivated by what you are doing, you are in a much different state that keeps you excited and passionate about what you are doing.

You are thinking about all the things you can focus on that is positive when you are building your business. Think about all the things you can feel good about as you build your business. Think about all the people you can help with your business. How can your business add value to their lives? How can your business improve their situations? Close your eyes and think realistically and not in terms of the get rich scheme. In this business everyone wants to make it massively rich and quick. Think about it in the real everyday life. What does an extra $500 per month means to many families?

In real life most people are looking to earn an extra $500 to $1,000 per month. Do you know what kind of a difference it will make to the income of most families? What would you have to do in your job to make and extra $500 per month? Even if you are making a good salary an extra $500 per month is a huge raise. What about $1,000 per month? What would you have to do to get that kind of raise? How much money would you have to keep in a CD to earn $1,000 per month? Do you know how realistic it is to make $1,000 per month in network marketing?

Think of how your business can impact your prospects in terms of their financial freedom and financial security. Think of how you can help to reduce their stress and worries and help provide financial independence for some families.

When you call prospects, focus on the positive side and the pleasure of helping them to achieve their goals, and you will find your business enjoyable and full of fun. When you start focusing on the positive conversations with prospects, not everybody will be interested in your offer. But people will respond to your message and that will be the highlight of your day, week, month, and your business will be the highlight of your life. You Can Be The One To Succeed:Connect With Prospects As Business Partners -- Part IV

As you bring people into your business, you have to connect with those people on the level of being business partners not as superstars who will take off and make you rich. You can't be thinking about 3 who gets 3 or 5 who gets 5. This is just a basic model to explain what network marketing is about. It is not a set of rule for you to follow. You have to get business partners into your business, and partners work as a team. It is not about one person taking off and generating a lot of residual income for you.

Network marketing is about a team. A team means together everyone does more. It is building relationships with ideal partners who are authentic, real, and have high moral authority. Team members are disciplined, focused and will get out and get the job done for the best interest of the team.

Business partners have an idea of where they are going and how they will get there. They are willing to sacrifice for the future. They learned the secret of giving before they receive. They are able to bond easily with people. They know how to communicate. They are believable and are visionary. They are supportive, and they don’t take rejection personally. They are inspirational, confident and enthusiastic. They are interested in the personal growth and development in themselves and their partners. They are also vulnerable.

It is import to develop strong relationship and bonds that produce loyalty. Partners are people who show compassion and are sensitive to other people’s emotions. They are persistent, teachable and committed to getting the job done. They don’t worry about what other people are thinking or doing. They are committed to leading by example and with actions. They are genuinely humble and willing to contribute to others. They strive for improvement as they work to develop themselves and build their organizations.

You want to look for people who fall in those categories. You have to keep in mind that not everyone you work with would be highly skilled in all of these areas with all of those strengths. These qualities are developed and nurtured over time. Are you a person with those qualities? Are you reliable and committed to getting the job done? Are you committed to investing into other people? Are you the type of person people want to do business with and to have as a business partner?

It is important for you to take a step back once in a while and ask yourself: “What can I improve on? To find a place where you have a problem is not bad, but once you know the problem you can fix it. Your optimistic attitude will lead you to action. You will succeed with carefully planned actions. Success will not happen on its own simply because you join a company at the right time.

The right time is one of those myths. Action will only happen when you act. Success is not going to happen without motivation. You have to have the drive to build your business. This drive comes from having a positive and optimistic view of life. It comes from your determination to find solutions to problems rather than finding excuses. Once you look for solutions, you will find them. It all comes down to the quality of questions we ask ourselves. If we look for the reasons why things are wrong, we will find reasons why things are wrong. If we look for reasons why things are going to improve or how we can improve these conditions, we are going to find answers to those questions.

Knowledge, experience, skill and even raw talents all are going to play into your experience. We all come to the table with different level of these ingredients. Some people have enormous amount of raw talent. They have a knack for connecting with people and building rapport. They are able to bond easily with other people, but they still have trouble with their business because there are other elements that are required to build a successful business.

You can have great talents and abilities, you can have great academic preparation, you can have great experience in your field, but all of these are irrelevant if you don’t take action today to build your business. Ask yourself this question, “What would my organization look like if my downline did half of what I did yesterday?” Everything duplicates whether it is positive or negative. Attitude, actions, and enthusiasm duplicate.

You have to gain the basic skills and knowledge to be able to go out and succeed. Your improved skills will help to change your attitude, make you more confident in your quest to build your business, and help you to progress and get better results with prospects. If you are not succeeding in your business, you have to take control of your business and start succeeding. You want your business to grow. You have to think like a CEO. It begins with your attitude, and it will filter throughout your organization.

“The 4 Major Reasons Why People Fail” in the business are lack of:- 1) Money 2) Skills 3) Customers 4) Action. To succeed in any business, you have to be motivated, be educated, and be equipped with the skills to succeed in the business. It is not about just wanting to succeed. You have to be willing to build the business. The whole foundation is based upon your attitude and developing the skills so you can build the business.

You are the CEO of your business. The CEO is responsible and accountable for building the business and to keep it competitive and successful in the marketplace. You can’t just jump into network marketing to get rich quick by expecting to find one or two people who will become blazing stars and for the rest of your life you will have residual income.

In this business you have to think like a CEO. You have to think about profit. You have to think about cash flow. You have to think about your marketing budget. You have to be working from a plan. You have to be taking consistent action to make sure you have a steady flow of the right prospects, and contacting your prospects the right way. It all comes down to developing the necessary skills to get the job done. Deep down inside, you must have the attitude and willingness to do what you know you have to do as a CEO to put yourself on track and to achieve the results you want.

It goes back to thinking like a CEO. You have to look at the bottom line. You have to look at cashflow. You have to look at how you business is growing. You have to look at what is working and what is not working. You have to develop the state of mind of a CEO, and maintain a certain posture when you are talking to your prospects. You have to be confident and let your prospects know what you are doing. You have to learn to leverage off the credibility and success of your upline and company who are there to help you succeed.

You have to maintain a positive posture with your prospects. You don’t have to get overly hyped or enthusiastic with your prospects and all excited because they are interested in taking a look at your business. You have to focus on taking them through the process. You have to help them make an informed decision. You have to become involved in the process from the stand point of developing relationships with your prospects. You can’t look at it as just getting a couple of people who will become superstars. If you think this way, your business will crumble.

You have to let your prospects think better of you. You want them to think of you as a person with a CEO state of mind. Are you the type of person people want to do business with? Why would they want to do business with you? You need to develop these skills. Don’t let these skills keep you down because by developing your skills you will attract people who want to do business with you.

It is not about having a positive attitude and then all of a sudden things will happen for you. Did your sponsor tell you to “make a list of 100 to 200 people, and we will do 3-way calls and recruit people for you?”

Well, neither your upline or your downline will build your business. You don’t want to become too dependent on your upline, and you do not want your downline becoming too dependent on you where you end up doing all the work for them. If you follow your upline’s 3-way call strategy he or she is preparing you to become a dependent and ineffective leader, and you will likewise produce an ineffective downline and your people will soon get fed up and quit.

Local business opportunity meetings, live conference calls, 3-way calls, and one-on-one business opportunity meetings may serve as tools for building your business. But the single most important thing is to properly qualify potential business partners. It helps you to get a good understanding of your prospects’ primary wants before they attend those events, and you will get better results. Always remember that you are looking for the right people to join your organization who want to build businesses so you can leverage off each other by using a “win-win” strategy.

What you want is to leverage your upline for guidance and resources. You want to learn to do things for yourself and be in control, because no one will build your business for you. You have to build your business yourself. You only have time to work with the right people in any business. You have to sell your products or services and form relationships with the right people who will not give you ulcers with their constant complaining, and you must commit to providing your customers and business partners “quality courteous service with integrity.”

If your upline is successful in the network marketing business, you need to know that successful leaders have very little time to spend with each business partner. That’s human nature. Let’s face it. Your prospective customers and business partners must be comfortable with you without feeling manipulated. You have to sincerely care about people, because business is people, people and people. You have to be the best you that you can be. So, let the real you shine forth and find your voice, and build your business.

You will look more like a leader to your prospects, because you are building rapport and relationship with them. There is just a handful of people who truly want to be leaders. You have to decide and make a commitment to be a leader and lead with decisive courageous convictions, integrity, compassion, and love in order to make it to the top, because the view from the top is always better. You have to position yourself to ascend to the “topper most” of your company. You will have to start developing your leadership skills, and lead by example.

You see, most people get into the business on enthusiasm which wears off in about six weeks, and that is when most people quit and give up on their dreams and themselves. You need to make a long-term commitment about the network marketing business that is grounded in reality and a sound decision.

The history is there to show that you too can beat the odds and earn a large income in this industry. But your income will be base solely on your commitment to applying and mastering the basics in this business, your own realistic goals, your consistent disciplined actions, and leading and building by example.

The best way to build your credibility is to focus on your prospects or on their needs and wants. Don’t start off talking about your company or your product. In stead ask them what their needs and wants are. You don’t know that person, but they surely know what their needs and wants are, and they know why they are looking for a product or business opportunity.

It is your responsibility to focus on their needs and wants instead of focusing on your own outcome. You need to focus on helping your prospects with the things they really want to accomplish. This is the consultative approach, and it is based in the relationship business which hinges on one key element, building credibility.

As a marketing consultant, you have to build credibility. Are you focusing on building credibility? Or are you just showing and telling your prospects why they need your product or services? You have to build credibility first, because until you build credibility you won’t harness the power of word of mouth in your business. And you won’t get the same level of trust compared to somebody the prospect already knows and has a long-term relationship with.

There will be times when you don’t have something that fits the prospects needs and wants. You just have to be honest and tell them. You will save them time and yourself time so you can move on to someone else who might be a good fit for your offer.

As an independent marketing consultant, you need to know your company, products and operations in order to show your prospects that you know what you are talking about. You need to be able to position yourself as an expert who has the resources to help your prospects solve their problems and achieve what they want.

When you call prospects, you don’t have credibility. You can build some credibility prior to the call by doing research to gather some information about your prospects. By knowing something about your prospects before you call, the conversation can start off as if you know them and help to put them at ease and make them receptive to receive your message. They will feel that you do understand them because you are focusing on the things that concern them most. They will feel that you really understand where they are coming from, and it helps to build rapport a lot quicker.

How you handle the questions and information with your prospects hinges back to credibility, because your prospects want to know if what you are offering is genuine. You want to approach your prospects with honesty in order to enhance your credibility. When you call prospects beware of the way you introduce yourself, the questions you ask, and your tone of voice. All of these things point back to your credibility. Always remember you start the call with a primary negative perception, and you only have 20 seconds to turn it into a primary positive perception.

The reason for this is, people are not happy to hear from you when you call them, because you are interrupting their schedule. So you first have to think of how prospects would feel receiving your call. What would make them comfortable? How would you like to be treated on the phone? Don’t delude yourself into believing you have a right to barge in and try to own the prospect because you have some information on them or because you sent them a free CD or webpage.

Your mindset for your first call is to introduce yourself positively, and to find out if it is a convenient time to talk about the challenges each prospect is facing. You have to build rapport and credibility with your prospects. You have to find out what their needs and wants are, and you have to focus on their wants and needs and offer practical solutions.

Statistics show 1 out of 3 people will take a closer look at a personal recommendation of something by a friend, colleague or trusted advisor. They are more likely to act on a recommendation of someone they trust than to act on a marketing commercial. You have to make genuine recommendations to your warm market based on the credibility of the trusted relationship with the person who is looking out for your prospects' best interest which is long-term. Credibility is the key which you have to develop and maintain overtime.

Your sales calls do not develop credibility immediately because of so many hypes and unrealistic promises in the marketplace. As a marketing consultant, you need to focus and dig deep enough to find out what are your prospects' primary wants and whether you have what it takes to help them find solutions for their problems.

Always remember that when you make the first call, you are starting off bad because many people have been burnt too many times in the marketplace, and they are skeptical. The Best Way To Promote Yourself And Build Credibility -- Part I

Most independent marketing consultants are trained to “sabotage” their own success. They are conditioned to approach prospects by leading off with “I’m from BXY Company” believing that it gives them more prestige, instead of promoting themselves first. They then jump right into showing and telling prospects how great the company and product or service is -- ‘the best thing since slice bread’ and prospects need to get it now. But most prospects have no interest in the stories about their company, product or service.

In order to overcome this “self-sabotaging” behavior, you have to focus on promoting yourself first before even talking about the company you represent. You have to brand yourself because you are your best asset. But if you don’t know what you are doing, you can become your worst asset. You have to let your prospects know what makes you different from everyone else. You have to be yourself. You have to be unique and different, because you are the most important factor in your business. You have your own personality. You don’t have to be a clone.

You have to promote yourself first while you leverage off the experience, success and resources of your upline and your company’s success profile to enhance your own image and credibility. You have to present yourself as someone who is going to help your prospects because each prospect is only interested in his or her own success.

You have to find out right off the bat what it is the prospect is looking for and what it is the prospect really wants. You want your prospects to remember you as someone who is there to help so they can willingly open up and give you some answers to questions to identify out if they qualify for your primary offer or something else that might fit their needs and wants.

When you talk to prospects you don’t know, you have to build credibility. You have to promote yourself and opportunity in a way you would like someone else to promote to you. You have to put yourself in the prospect’s shoes. Ask yourself: Is this idea, product or business opportunity something I’d want someone to contact me about? You have to find out what your prospects needs and wants are.

There is nothing new under the sun. What has been is what now is. The things you and I call new are old stuff that always existed in the universe that God allowed the ingenious human mind to discover. And the sharp human mind has packaged these things with slick advertising and marketing to make us feel we can’t live without them, including TVs, computers, cell phones, the worldwide web…. Do you remember how happy our seventh great grandparents were playing “hop-scotch” with their iPODs? “What the mind builds in imagination, the mind can indeed build in reality.”

What you and I call secrets are only secrets because we are hearing these things for the first time. For years many people were trying to get our attention to share many ideas. Many books sitting on shelves were shouting out to us. Pick me up! Read me and learn things that will empower you! For years we missed those calls, because we were too busy-- too caught up with ourselves. Later with regrets, we awoke from our hiatus like a desperate, hungry, and angry bear only to find it is a new season with new challenges. And, yes, we still can’t understand why we closed our minds and cheated ourselves out of so much great ideas and knowledge that could have benefited us years ago. “We really don’t know how much we don’t know.”

Well, be of good cheer! You are still alive! Be hopeful! Start paying attention from now on and aspire to change your future. Again, King Solomon in the Book of Ecclesiastes, chapter 9 said “…The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”

Sometimes life puts us through its ringers to test us, prove us, and refine us. Next time before you go around shouting “woe is me!” “Why me?” Just think of Joseph who was sold into slavery and sentenced to prison. Think of Daniel who was thrown into the lions den. Think of Jonah who was in the belly of the fish. Think of Paul and Silus who were thrown into prison. Think of the posture of King David. David comforted himself in his God.

Some of our problems are peanuts compared these men. We can learn a lot from each of them, and we must always remember that Jesus is in control of the whole show. He promised never to leave nor forsake you, and he will always provide a way of escape for us in our times of trouble.
